Pure and genuine

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. James 1:27

When, in the name of Christ, we pull out our wallets or step outside our doors to help someone in need, God can use that to change both our lives. As we care for others as a congregation even more lives are changed by the tangible love of Christ. When we put aside our differences to stand side by side with others believers in a united effort to care for needs in our communities or our world, the love and unity of Christ exponentially increases the impact and everyone involved experiences the heart of God in ways that strip away corruption and the selfishness that fuels it.

Lord, let my heart and my actions be pure, genuine, and caring.
