Living leaner not meaner

Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name. Prov. 30:8b-9

Lean manufacturing is a term used to describes having exactly enough at the time it’s needed in order to reduce waste. We’re exposed to a constant barrage of consumerism and commercialism that emphasizes “more” and promotes excess. It takes a major shift in perspective and priorities to be truly satisfied with a leaner lifestyle without becoming stingy or self-righteous.

Lord me to help live simply and joyfully with enough.
