Want to want to

But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that any favor you do would not seem forced but would be voluntary. Phil. 1:14

It’s often easier to do something good than it is to want to do it. Choosing to give and help out of love and authentic ethical response is different from choosing to do so because of guilt or coercion. Motive is as much a part of our responses as our behavior. When we don’t want to, wanting to want to is a start.

Lord, help me want to.
