Humbly human

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. Phil 2:6-7

Jesus could have chosen to come at anytime as anyone but He chose to come into the household of a carpenter and be born in a stable at a time without modern conveniences, international communications, or public relations. His choices demonstrate that He came to address the deficits of the human condition rather than demonstrate its supreme potential.

Lord, thank you for bringing redemption to this fallen race.
