End of year evaluation

For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2 Cor. 7:10

As the year ends it’s natural to celebrate successes and regret failures. Repentance within the peace and safety of God’s grace allows for a healthy process of admitting mistakes, grieving failure, learning from mistakes, and shedding the baggage of guilt. Guilt is swallowed up in redemption the way death is swallowed up in victory.

Lord, replace my regrets with Your wisdom and peace.
