Would you be my neighbor

A second commandment is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matt 22:39

Love necessarily requires vulnerability and transparency. Loving your neighbor means you might get hurt, be used, be disappointed, be judged, or be ignored. Loving your neighbor means you might discover what Jesus meant when He said “let them be one as We are one.” Love means knowing others  and being known in supportive, encouraging community. The latter is worth risking for former.

Lord, keep me open and loving toward all my neighbors.
