Feeling the way

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth…that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for ‘in him we live and move and have our being.’ – Acts 17:27-28

Paul quoted the words of the Greek poet Epimedes of Knossos who wrote a poem proposing some amazingly insightful truths about the nature of God and human existence. Paul focused on the truths in Epimedes statement rather than attacking his attribution of that truth to Zeus.

Lord, help me find common ground with those who are feeling their way toward You.
