He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Ps. 37:6-7

When we witness long-term suffering and injustice in the world, and especially when it hits close to home, we can begin to question God’s purposes and even His personality. Our stillness and patience communicate trust. God is the source of justice and consolation and our trust in Him animates whatever we may contribute to  just causes. We do not act because He won’t; we act on His behalf, at His prompting, because we trust Him.

Lord, I wait for You.
