Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Is. 9:6

All of us operate under the authority of others. We want to be able to trust and to learn from our parents, teachers, counselors, bosses, mentors, and government leaders. Those who have trust issues with authority usually have been disappointed or betrayed by someone who had power over them. Those who haven’t experienced the love a father tend to gravitate toward those who will fill that role in their lives. God is the authority we can absolutely trust with all our lives.

Father, I trust you to always be my Wonderful, Mighty, Everlasting Prince of Peace.
