…and walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8b

It is the unearned, immeasurable, indiscriminate grace of Christ that allows us to experience appropriate humility. This is the kind of humility that knows how to celebrate victory and receive compliments yet readily admits failure and deflects adulation. This is the kind of humility that recognizes the insignificance of our deeds in the vast universe yet acknowledges that the cross of Christ makes each of us big and allows us to participate with Him in matters of eternal consequence. This is the kind of humility that can surrender everything to God’s hands and trusts in His good without reservation.

Lord, help me when I think I am too small to make a difference and when I think I’m so big I know better than You.
