Unsolved mysteries

Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Ecc. 11:5

Study and discovery has given human beings more information about weather and human development than the writer of Ecclesiastes had available when this verse was written and yet there are still worlds full of mystery under the sea, in space, in tiny microbes, and in the brain, to name a few. Study, research, and prayer may yield insight into some of our theological questions as well. Delving into God’s mysteries stretches our minds, strengthens our faith, and focuses our hearts and spirits on God.

Lord, lead me higher up and further in to the mystery of living my life in the wonders of all You make and all You are.
