You can’t out-care God

I continue to be confident of this very thing, He who did begin a good work in you, will perform [it] until a day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to think this about you all, since I have you in the heart. Phil. 1:6-7

Unfortunately sometimes we mistake worry for caring. When we love someone we wish them well and respond to them with good. We can trust that God’s goodwill is even greater than our own. We can trust the place each of us has in the heart of God. We can trust the adequacy of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ in our own lives and in the lives of those we live. God is always performing good, even when we don’t see it. The realization of Christ’s redemptive work in our lives and in the lives of those we love can give us confidence instead of worry.

Lord, deepen my realization of Your transforming love for me and for those I have in my heart.
